Build. 10.0. 9.3. sharp, bokeh, small and light-weight, fast focus due IF! fringing. Rear focusing group makes focusing more than comfortable. That is what I love on this lens but then here is CA which could be really annoying. If you shoot mostly bw film like me then you could live with that.

FDn 200/2.8 IF have 7/6 scheme include one glass with a higher index of refraction (sorry for my ignorance that dunno how to write it shorter) opposite Nikkor 180/2.8 ED-IF has 5/5 scheme with one ED glass. I think that members here have some FD copies converted to EOS mount then they can compare Nikon F mount lenses.. The Canon nFD 4/200mm Macro also suffers from quite strong CAs. It has - like the other 200mm FD lenses from Canon - neither UD nor Fluorite lenses. Canon actually produced an FD 200mm L lens -- the 200mm f/1.8 L. It was produced in 1989, over a year after the introduction of the new EF line.
