This gem of Alberta's southern Rockies is in Chinook Provincial Recreation Area, 8 km west of Coleman off Hwy. 3. Chinook Campground features over 90 well-treed sites, including RV-friendly and tenting spots with easy access to beautiful Chinook Lake. In summer you can canoe, kayak or swim in the lake and hike or mountain bike on the trails.. Campground B is the medium-sized of the three campgrounds at Chinook Provincial Recreation Area and is located back in the forested area. The campground consists of one small loop and has a total of 22 sites that are known for being quite wide, flat and very private from other neighboring campers thanks to large trees.
